Quick tempers can destroy and kill people's lives. Letting your temper rule you will fill your life with regrets. A quick temper brings nothing good into your life or into your world. Oh, that we would be patient and kind and understanding; that we would be thoughtful before confronting, before expressing anger!
Psalm 8 is what God has planned for each of us. Read it here at Biblegateway.com http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Psalm%208&version=NASB
Foolishness will hinder God's plans in our live. Foolishness can even stop God's plans for us. The enemy can't destroy God's plans for us. Other people can't either. Only we can destroy God's plans for us. The enemy and others can put up obstacles but God will always get past those. The only ones He won't get past are the ones we put up ourselves. We must surrender them. We must move them.
And now I am going to ask you to do something if you have a minute or two. Three law enforcement officers were shot last night in Rapid City, South Dakota. One died almost immediately. One is in critical condition as of last night. The third officer is in stable condition. All three of these men are young. My husband, Shannon Hinrichs, was one of their law enforcement instructors. This story hits my heart. Pray for their families, for the healing of the two officers still alive. Pray for the Rapid City Police Department and the city. And please don't let your children play cop killer video games (and please don't play them yourselves). Yes, there are "bad" cops out there, but most of them are people who have put on the uniform to serve their communities. Please respect the officers. They are not only officers. They are spouses, someone's children, someone's parent, grandparent even. Thank you.
