This really spoke to me today. I was thinking about some medical bills I need to pay and how I would do it. Also, I was thinking of a book I am putting up on Amazon as a Kindle book and then I read this verse. And it hit me. First, at least for me I need to stop dwelling on money issues. I don't really but there are times I try to figure it out. This isn't objectively wrong, but for me it is. God has called me to believe in Him no matter what for the finances for our household. The next part I am not to do I think though applies to all God's Children -- we are not to do things just for money. We are to do things for God's Glory. If we get paid for it that is God's provision.
OK, that was a tangent! Sorry. What I wanted to say is that we can get so independently minded -- just run to our families and say our family is our most important ministry (which it is, but) and neglect the Body of Christ. We can do the drive-thru church going. Go to church and then do our own thing. We are to build each other up in the Body of Christ. We are to act like a Body, a unified Body, not a bunch of individuals. Do we?
