Most of us, if we do use it, we don't recognize its value and use it reluctantly.
Many of us don't ever use it.
But it is there and can be accessed at any time.
It is a promise, a guarantee.
But you have to employ it.
You have to do it purposely.
You won't get any support from those around you or from all you hear and see to use it.
But using it is the wisest and surest way to get strength.
What is it?
"Yet those who wait for the LORD
Will gain new strength;
They will mount up with
wings like eagles,
They will run and not get tired,
They will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:31
It is waiting for God to come through.
This kind of waiting is waiting in expectation; waiting in hope; waiting in belief that you know that you know that you know He will come through.
It's the kind of waiting you do at the airport when you know beloved will arrive on the next plane.
It's the kind of waiting you do when you are in labor pains and excited to finally hold that newborn baby. You know that baby is there. He just has to be born.
That is the kind of waiting -- that sure kind of waiting that will give you strength.
It isn't the kind we like naturally.
When we want something, our human side wants it NOW. We hate to wait. And our modern society has made this loathing of waiting even worse.
But waiting will make you strong.
Try it.
Believe in God.
Believe He will answer.
Believe the answer is on the way.
