they whirl
they scream
they twirl
they screech
they creech
they dance a jig
they cry
they sigh
they wonder why
they laugh
they shake
their bellies ache
from too much cake.
Instead of calling this Bunnies in a whirlwind we could have called it Jane's Family life. It is the whirlwind season in our home. My oldest is graduating from high school next week. Working in the yard. Working in the house. Working in the garden. Made cookie bars this morning at 5 for a fundraiser. Then, before 8 a.m. stitched a rip on a tie, gave a haircut to my senior; did my 11 year old daughter's hair; made my husband his lunch and breakfast; found new ear buds so my 12 year old son could use his iPod nano on the mile run (which he will "run" on his 3-wheeled bike); changed two diapers; signed papers, made coffee, did research, fed horses, cried over the tomato seedlings I forgot outside last night (and of course it froze); threw those same seedlings away; took the garbage out, designed a cake, made lists . . . .
Sometimes life is like a whirlwind.
When it is, just hold on for the ride. Do your best and let the rest go.
"Behold, God is my helper;
The LORD is the sustainer of my soul." Psalm 54:4
