Hold on just a little bit longer.
I was an ear for a loved one who needed to vent. Stress can pile up and make life impossible. And it probably is for us humans. For God nothing is impossible!
So, again I will take a practice from Tim Fall and share with you a post I wrote a while ago - - in fact it was written almost three years ago. Today is a good day to read it again. I'll cut and paste below:
I flipped open my Bible a minute ago and this is what I read:
"Have faith in God. Truly I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be taken up and cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is going to happen, it shall be granted him. Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you.'" Mark 11:23-24
Don't give up on God when the wait is so long that you don't think it's going to happen.
Don't give up on God when it gets hard.
Don't give up on God when things aren't going well at all.
Don't give up on God when the awful is piling up and seemingly covering up the good.
Keep holding on, keep holding onto Him and His words.
"But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance." 1 Peter 3:8-9
Out of all the C.S. Lewis Narnia books the one that is my favorite is Prince Caspian.
That's what God does with us -- if we hold on in faith and stay diligent with the work He's given us to do, He will come through in a mighty and surprising way. He just loves it when we believe when it looks hopeless.
The reason I love Prince Caspian is because of a conversation Lucy (my favorite character) has with Aslan. She had seen him before anyone else and said they ought to go to him. No one believed her so they went in the wrong direction. She said this to Aslan, and Aslan said something like "You could still have come."
When we see God, Go! Go to Him. Don't stop. Always, always go to Him!
Don't give up on Him. He will come through. - See more at: http://janehinrichs.weebly.com/home/dont-give-up-on-him-please#sthash.W5dCKSaf.dpuf
