This Psalm is probably the most famous and beloved psalm. People recite this at funerals, when they are hurting, when they are scared.
And it is appropriate. It is a reminder that the Great Shepherd is caring for His sheep. He brings us to green pastures. He watches over us. He leads us to still waters.
It says "My cup overflows" even though the writer was near his enemy.
Our cups overflow too with blessings. In my journal today I drew a cup like the one above and I filled it to overflowing with all the blessings in my life that I could think of at the moment.
Maybe you could do the same thing. You could draw a cup and let the wine of blessings flow out of it freely. Write them down. Remember, remember, remember. That is why God gave us a memory - -to remember our blessings, to remember His faithfulness, to remember all the times in the past He has come through.
Let your memories of goodness, of God's faithfulness minister to you today.
