But who really lives inside of me?
Yesterday my kids in Sunday School prayed the weirdest prayer they've ever prayed (my youngest daughter and I put it on the list). They prayed, "Please get rid of the grumpy lady who is inside of Jane."
That grumpy lady -- I don't like her. I do not like her at all! But more and more when I wake up, she threatens to overtake my entire brain and soul and will. She is a human porcupine with all her quills sticking out ready to fire one at the first person who looks at her wrong.
But all is not lost.
I still have God's promises. In Philippians 1 we are told, "He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."
Those promises are for you too.
God isn't finished with you yet. He isn't finished with your life. He isn't discouraged about you or your life. He isn't worried that you might have messed it up too bad this time for Him to work it out for His glory.
By the way He can work out any situation for His glory.
Any situation.
Yeah -- even that one.
