Remember your beginning with God. We all have one even if we haven't yet asked Him to be part of our lives. He calls us. He draws us. He woos us.
My remembered beginning began in high school. At different times I felt the Spirit on me. I'd seek out that feeling. It happened a few times. When I went to college Sunday mornings I'd take bike rides and sense Him with me. On some Saturdays I'd find an empty church and sit for a long time usually crying (my mental state was a bit shaky and that was when churches could stilll stay unlocked for people just like I was). The summer after my freshman year in college I found myself yearning to read the Bible. So I'd take the Bible and a thermos of coffee and head to a park. I spent a lot of time at picnic benches that summer. In late winter my sophomore year I asked Jesus to be part of my life.
I also remember glimpses of God as a child. He'd been drawing me for years.
What about you? How did God woo you? Or, how is He wooing you? You aren't imaginging Him. It's Him. He wants to be part of your life. Follow His leading and see where you end up. I guarantee it will be a good place.
And if you know Him, remember your beginning with Him. Remember how He drew you. Realize those memories hold a key to how He continues to work in your life.
It's good to remember. It's good to remember the times He came through for you. It's good to remember how He pursued you and drew you.
