This thing about giving the first of their dough got me thinking. I bake a lot out of enjoyment but also out of necessity. As I read this thing about dough I thought about the dough I make almost daily, sometimes more than once a day.
Prior to verse 37 the writer also lists the Israelites sharing from their children, their animals, their harvests, their labor in chopping wood, all sorts of stuff they gave to God and to God's servants.
Believers are part of the Bride of Christ. I think we have the freedom to give however we want to give. God loves us to be cheerful givers (and honest and generous too), to have fun with it.
Maybe we could ask God how we can give creatively, not just money but parts of everything we have.
