Ask yourself, when do you invalidate the word of God? When we do we as His church invalidate the word of God?
Traditions based on fear or desire to control do not validate the word of God. They deny its power. They deny the Holy Spirit's work.
If we do something in our churches or in our own lives because "that's the way we've always done it" we should examine it. Maybe it does not line up with God's word. Often, those kinds of traditions don't.
Hollow tradition doesn't allow the Holy Spirit to move.
Are we hindering the Spirit's movement in our lives, in our church, in the world?
