So, I am just going to copy what I wrote about. May it bless you! Actually, the first paragraph I won't share -- realized it is just some prayers for my husband and child -- ah heck, I'll share those too. For some reason this is what I feel like I should do. Here we go:
Wed, May 29, 2013:
Thank you for My Husband. Thank you for my children. Lord, we need a watch for Megan. Help me find her a watch. A kid-friendly brightly colored watch. Lord, help Shannon's schooling account get taken care of this week. Work on Shannon's heart to get this taken care of. Help me pray for him as he needs me too.
"and that all this assembly may know that the LORD does not deliver by sword or by spear; for the battle is the LORD's and He will give you into our hands." 1 Samuel 17:47
The LORD does not use manipulation to accomplish His will. We should not either. If we approach our problems or tasks in the world's way -- bullying, manipulating, scheming -- we are not in line with God and He will not bless these efforts. If we get results they aren't going to glorify God. They won't point to God. They won't do anything for His Kingdom.
"Tenacity is when you follow your heart -- when the whole world is screaming to get back into your head."
"Caught in a cycle of fantasy, wondering what our idea might be worth before we have the idea fully formed, is an avoidance of action, an avoidance of clarity in the moment. If we have decided that we need to be assured of success in order to start, we are giving ourselves permission to never start." Julia Cameron
I've done this repeatedly! I want -- I feel I have to make money with my creative outlets to justify them, to help my family. This is reducing them to a commodity rather than worship of God.
"The prosperous heart is farsighted. Rather than settle for shortsighted goals, we aim always for the longer view . . . the future is often brighter than we'd dare to hope . . . The prosperous heart is expansive. It depends to encompass God's plans for us." Julia Cameron
There you have it -- a peak into my brain this morning!
