We are unconventional (spiritual) war tools in the hands of Almighty God.
So, when we feel useless or like we're sitting on a shelf gathering dust, God is doing something we can't imagine. He's confounding the enemy and the world system by working in ways they cannot understand.
It meant a lot to me to read that because my life is often very small. I do the same things every day usually -- laundry, cook, straightening up; sitting with Hawk and reading to him (outside under a tree or inside on the couch); changing and feeding him; picking him up and putting him down; putting clothes away. Making supper for the family; watching TV with the family; reading and going to bed early.
I wonder, does it matter? Is there eternal purpose in this daily routine?
I'm not famous or successful (according to world standards); nor weathy. I don't have much influence over anyone that I know of (to include my own children). I'm not a great housekeeper or a great entertainer. I usually like my small routine and staying on the place. How can a life like this be of signficance?
But it isn't we who are signficant. It is who lives within us. We can have lives that are super busy and full of activity and full of important stuff (according to the world) and not be truly living. God uses the small things. God uses the quiet, obscure things to change people's worlds.
God will use you. God will use me. We just have to be His and give Him permission to work.
Because He will.
He definitely will.
