Numbers 32:7
Are you encouraging your sisters and brothers in Christ? Am I? This is one of our main jobs. The enemy and the world aren't going to encourage them to follow God fully. Their neighbors who don't know Christ aren't going to. They maybe nice people. But if the only encouragement we get is from sources outside the kingdom and family of God it won't be too long when we think the family of God isn't relevant to our lives. We might even find ourselves thinking we don't need our brothers and sisters in Christ. We don't need "Church" to follow God. We can be strong believers without fellowship.
If we are having any of these thoughts, we are already deceived. One of a "good" enemy's tactics is to divide his opponent from the rest of the group. If he can get someone isolated he has his/her ear. He can whisper things to this individual and no one will refute it.
If we are gossiping about our siblings in Christ we are deceived too. If all we see is the bad in them, then the enemy has got us to in a sense. If all we see is the bad, that is a sure sign we have to pray for them. Those we see in a negative light might be the very ones God wants us to encourage.
Believers, we must unite. In Unity is strength.
