how can you compete with horses?
If you stumble in open country,
how can you live in the jungle along the Jordan River? Jeremiah 12:5
Presently, I am at my parents' home in Illinois. My oldest child and I are in their computer room.
I asked my son what is favorite verse is. The one above is his favorite. I like it too.
What does it say to me today? I'm thinking as I write so this might be a bit more disjointed than usual!
If normal life is wearing you down, how do you expect to do great things for God?
If average day-to-day life is getting us down, distressing us, we need to get centered once again in Christ Jesus. We need to let His Spirit live through us, love through us, be Huge through us.
And "average" life gets feeling so average when we think of it as average. When we look at things with surface-eyes only, we will get weary.
Ask God to give you His eyes for life. There is always so much more to life than what we see. What we see is only "the tip of the iceberg."
What lies in the invisible realm is so much bigger than we can imagine.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving today. Be thankful. There are many things to be grateful for even if you are in the midst of grief or tragedy.
Look. Really Look.
God bless you and yours!!! J.H.
