Those kinds of visits are important. I miss those visits. The sharing of friendship. The sharing of words. Sue went to heaven (that's why the visits stopped).
I think about Jesus and His disciples. They must have sat around chatting and laughing and just enjoying each other's company at times. They probably had running jokes. Maybe they kidded with each other about each other's quirks.
What would have it been like to sit with Jesus and just talk?
Do you have someone you can just chat with? Just sit around and laugh -- no pressure to perform, just a time to relax and be yourself? We all need that.
You know, even if you don't have a close friend right now, you can have those chats with Jesus. He's a great listener. He wants to talk to you too but He'll listen forever. He'll laugh with you. He'll sit with you. No, we can't see Him with our eyes typically, but He's there. He's always there.
