Do you feel an impulse to reach out to someone, to open up to someone? Follow that impulse. Do it.
Proverbs 27:17 says, "Iron sharpens iron, So one (person) sharpens another."
We can't do that if we aren't being real. We gotta break down our walls. We gotta open up to each other. We gotta let those wounds and hurts see the light so they can be healed.
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous (person) can accomplish much." James 5:16
How can we pray for each other effectively if we don't know what to really pray for?
Don't worry about people judging you. Just be real. Honesty allows for healing to begin.
There are so many people walking around with festering wounds in their souls. No wonder we Christians are often not that effective! How can we be effective when we ourselves need healing?
Seek healing by punching through those walls. Seek healing. Ask for prayer. Be real. Open yourself up to the light. Jesus wants to accomplish great things through us. In fact Jesus tells us in John 14:12, "he who believes in Me, the works that I do shall he do also and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father."
Jesus healed thousands of people. Jesus raised people from the dead. Jesus fed thousands with a bit of bread and fish. Why are we not seeing these miracles?
Jesus wants to do a mighty work through you. He wants to do a mighty work through me. Follow His leading. Do what you must do to be prepared. And then, watch Him work!
