So here it is: to make God happy wait on Him. Believe in Him. Believe in Him no matter what while you wait on Him. Wait with expectancy. Wait with faith. This is how to live life God's way rather than our own.
Today's entry in Jesus Calling by Sarah Young speaks about this kind of life. It says, "How much better it is to walk close to Me depending on My strength and trusting Me in every situation. If you live in this way, you will do less but accomplish more. Your unhurried pace of living will stand out in this rush-crazed age. Some people may deem you lazy, but many more will be blessed by your peacefulness."
Jesus didn't live a hurried scurried existence. He lived in God's Peace continually. He spoke out of God's Peace. He rested in God's Peace. He is God's Peace.
We can live the same way. If we do we will please God and we will be at peace. We will be a source of peace for others. We will be able to see more clearly. And we will not find ourselves panicking when something unexpected happens.
Choose God's way. It's the best way.
Jesus says in John 15, "I am the Real Vine and my Father is the Farmer. He cuts off every branch of me tat doesn't bear grapes. And every branch that is grape-bearing he prunes back so it will bear even more. You are already pruned back by the message I have spoken.
"Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can't bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can't bear fruit unless you are joined with me.
"I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you're joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can't produce a thing."
