"Exercising our creativity is an act of faith." Julia Cameron
When we create we are imitating our Creator. When we use our imagination, when we take those steps of faith to make something where there was nothing we are playing a role God gave each of us, a role that is more fulfilling than we can imagine, a role we are destined for!
We need to quit focusing on the end result and just create. There is value in the process. Even if no one else sees God does.
You were born to create.
What will you create today?
What steps will you take?
Creating something could be a dinner for friends, art, a blog post, planting flowers or vegetables (or both); pruning those lilac bushes into a more beautiful shape.
I don't know what you are called to create.
I just know you are supposed to.
And until you do you are depriving yourself and your world of a good that needs to be.
"Do not neglect the gift you have" 1 Timothy 4:14a
"Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.'" Genesis 1:26a
God creates all the time. He creates for the sheer joy in it. Think of all the sunrises and sunsets He creates in just one 24 hour cycle. Whether we see them or not they are there. If we delight in them we enter into His joy. If we don't notice them then He still delights in them.
Don't wait. Create something today. Start the process. Let this joy be part of your life.
