You could add more stories. These are just the ones that come to mind presently. They are the ones that touch my life in some way. Death is something we all will face. No one knows when it will come. Everyone knows this (but not everyone takes it to heart. I wish they would).
Every single person will stand before God one day and give an account of his/her life. Every single person.
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ" 2 Corinthians 5:10a
"now is the day of salvation" 2 Corinthians 6:2b
We are meant to enjoy this life God has given us. He wants to walk with us. He wants to be part of our lives. He gives us all that option. It is our choice whether we let Him into our lives or not. He doesn't give up, but some of us are really stubborn and rebellious. Some of us want to do things our way and live for self no matter what.
I pray for many to come to Christ. It's the best choice a perrson can make. Jesus doesn't limit life. He gives us abundant life. When we come to Him He doesn't make us into weirdos. He makes us into who He created us to be. He knows what will bring true fulfillment to each of us.
If you've met Christians you didn't like, then you didn't like them. That has nothing to do with Jesus. Not all Christians are likable. Not all nonchristians are likable. Christians are just people who've been forgiven and who have asked Christ Jesus into their lives. They aren't perfect. They mess up just like you do. Mess-ups and bad choices don't need to define us. In fact, that is why Jesus calls us. He gives us a new identity -- to be a child of Almighty God.
If you don't see tomorrow because death comes for you in the night, you will want to be a follower of Jesus. Jesus says, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."
You can choose not to believe that. That doesn't make it wrong.
If you haven't asked Jesus to be part of your life, please do it now. When death calls it will be too late.
Aren't you tired of being the god of your life? Aren't you tired of trying to run the show? Let Jesus drive the car. You sit in the passenger seat. The ride is so much better that way. He'll even play the music you want!
