Does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable." Isaiah 40:28
God understands. God understands and shows mercy to those who are hurting. He understands our hearts better than we do.
Do you have sadness you can't explain? God knows what is causing it. Seek Him. He'll give you understanding and then you can be healed.
I had an event in my life that happened last week that I didn't really think was a big deal. But I figured out this morning it was. I had felt unsettled since and wasn't self aware enough to know what was going on. Sometimes when things change we have to grieve. Maybe just a part of us has to grieve -- our emotions have to catch up with our thinking. Objectively, for my situation it was time to move on. But my emotions had to get centered again and let go of what I had lost.
The rest of this chapter in Isaiah speaks to this. OK, so the above verse says God understands. What does that understanding do for us if we allow it?
"He gives strength to the weary, And to him who lacks might He increases power. Though youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary." Isaiah 40:29-31
That is a promise. That is a promise for you and for me. Lean into God.
