Yesterday I was in a very bad way. I reached out to a few people and asked them to pray for me. I wanted to give up on life. Somehow we got through last night. God was sustaining me through those prayers.
This morning I was at a more stable place but still not right. I felt fragile. Then a friend called. She had no idea how I had been feeling. She had no idea the mess I was within. She didn't say anything profound to me. We just chatted about family and concerns, but just the fact of talking to another Believer lifted a lot of the darkness. Later I took a nap. So many things are better after a nap.
Psalm 133:1 says, "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"
Real fellowship happens between Believers when there is kindness and honesty and vulnerability. And in that atmosphere healing can occur.
It take courage to be real. That is true. But if we don't choose to be real we sacrifice so much that God wants to give us.
