There's life in my garden this year but I'm just not feeling it. I'm kind of in a slump which I know will lift. A tip from Jane (which you probably don't want but keep it for later -- it might be useful): if you're in an emotional slump, just keep doing the things you normally do and get through the days as best as you can. The slump will lift eventually. Reading the Word no matter how you feel is so important. For even when it feels dead and dry, it is doing something in your soul and spirit. It's medicinal. It's healing. It's powerful and never does nothing.
My favorite part of my garden this year is something I must have planted last year but never harvested and it got away from me. It's a huge onion flower that probably should have been picked but it reminds me of a Dr. Seuss flower and so it stays. Here it is:
