We choose how we walk in this life, how we live. We don't often get to pick what challenges come our way but we can always choose our responses. If we choose to follow God, to order our way (like command your own feet and brain to go toward God rather than away from Him) to Him God will come through.
Let no man deceive himself. 1 Corinthians 3:18a
For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he deceives himself. Galatians 6:3
When our eyes are on ourselves for too long we are going to deceive ourselves. Our perspectivies get screwed up.
Behold, as for the proud one, His soul is not right within him; But the righteous will live by his faith.
And it isn't just pride. Insecurity is the flip side of pride. None of this kind of thinking is living by faith. It is living in the flesh.
We can choose the Spirit over flesh every time. Possibly part of you clings to flesh thinking. That part is in need of healing. Don't let it lead the rest of you.
and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb (or the perspective) which is lame may not be put out of joint, but rather be healed. Hebrews 12:13
