We need boldness in this world for Christ Jesus. Those of us who know Him know that everyone needs to know Him. Not only is He the one way of salvation, knowing Jesus gives us peace and joy and purpose. Things all people want. But as life goes on and we live among others it's easy not to be bold. In fact, I'd say being bold is contrary to being human. Being human at its most common form is to be like sheep -- mindless sheep that go along with the crowd.
God calls us not to go along with the crowd. To be beacons of light for those who are lost.
It can be difficult and uncomfortable to be bold, so I've got a tip to start our way on being bold for Jesus.
Make it a point to say Jesus's name. Instead of saying God in a sentence use Jesus's name. Jesus's name has power in just speaking it. You can't say Jesus without it being noticed. You don't even have to ask someone about their own lives to be bold. Just say Jesus.
Once we start getting used to using Jesus's name in conversation that might help us be bold in other ways.
The world needs to hear His name in other ways than as a cuss word.
Use His name today. Try it. Let's learn to be bold. It takes practice. Let's do it for Jesus. Let's do it for ourselves. Let's do it for this hurting world.
I'm going to try it. Will you?
