Is there something you just don't understand, wonder why it always gets back to you?
Have you thought, "Why doesn't God take this away?"
Or, "Why is God punishing me again?"
Maybe, just maybe you aren't looking at it right.
Maybe you just need to change your perspective a bit.
God is a loving Father, not a harsh dictator.
Think of a professional athlete -- a football player, a ballet dancer, a martial arts expert. What do these all do when they aren't actually doing their job?
They train.
They train constantly.
They have to keep their skills sharp.
They don't know exactly what they will encounter, but they know they must train every day, for hours at a time.
What if what you find yourself faced with over and over again is God training you for the "big game?"
"Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him." Psalm 105:19
"Him" is Joseph.
His word was the dreams he had.
When he was 18 he had two dreams about him being in the center and all his family bowing down to him. He didn't know exactly how those dreams would play out, but God did. And God knew how to prepare him for the role he was destined to play.
Maybe whatever you keep dealing with is your training ground for a role God is preparing you for.
Instead of seeing this constant struggle as a curse, maybe you ought to look at it as a promise, a hope of things yet to come.
Yes!
We serve a great God, a loving Father, the Great I Am.
Thank you Jesus!
