Are you doing it?
Or are you focused on what you think others are supposed to be doing?
"How blessed will you be, you who sow beside all waters, Who let out freely the ox and the donkey." Isaiah 32:20
Are we giving others freedom?
Are we trusting God with them?
"Is the axe to boast itself over the one who chops with it? Is the saw to exalt itself over the one who wields it? That would be like a club wielding those who lift it, Or like a rod lifting him who is not wood." Isaiah 10:15
Oswald Chambers' Utmost For His Highest has a great entry today. Here's what I copied in my journal:
What hinders me from hearing (God) is my attention to other things . . . If I have not developed and nurtured this devotion of hearing, I can only hear God's voice at certain times. At other times I become deaf to Him because my attention is to other things -- things which I think I must do.
Don't concern yourself with what others are doing or not doing for God. That has nothing to do with us. It isn't our business.
