First, this verse:
And the seed which fell among the thorns, those are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked with worries and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to maturity. Luke 8:14
This describes so many believers. It describes so many of the churches in developed countries (specifically The United States). It doesn't describe all of them of course, but so often we Believers don't see the fruit in our lives ripen and multiply. We let the daily stuff get in the way of what God wants to do in and through us.
We often allow the world, the stuff of this life to fill our children's lives too. We do it eagerly, gladly. Oh, this isn't a good thing parents.
There's nothing wrong with stuff or money or anything. But it can't be what life is about.

Second, a figurine:
