This is what Jesus desires, but so often we, His people, are lacking compassion toward each other and toward those in the world. The longer we stay within our own little circles, the easier it is for us to become like the pharisees of long ago who sent Jesus to His death.
Think on that, and then read the following scriptures:
"'but let him who is the greatest among you become as the youngest, and the leader as the servant.'" Luke 22:26
"'I glorified Thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which Thou hast given Me to do.'" John 17:4
"'I in them, and Thou in Me, that they may be perfected in unity, that the world may know that Thou didst send Me, and didst love them, even as Thou didst love Me.'" John 17:23
"And when the Pharisees saw this, they said to His disciples, 'why is your Teacher eating with the tax-gatherers and sinners? But when He heard this, He said, 'It is not those who are healthy who need a physician, but those who are sick.'" Matthew 9:11-12
