This morning I read something in the book of Job that is so poetic and so true. The book of Job is full of beautiful imagery and wisdom. Often Job's friends get chided by people, and they should. BUT, it isn't because they said things that didn't make sense. A lot of what they said makes sense. A lot of what they said has a lot of wisdom. The problem with what they said was that they spoke at all.
Sometimes the best thing we can say is absolutely nothing.
Sometimes the best thing we can do is just be with someone.
OK, that was a tangent. Here's what I read today:
"But now ask the beasts, and let them teach you;
And the birds of the heavens, and let them tell you.
Or speak to the earth, and let it teach you;
And let the fish of the sea declare to you.
Who among all these does not know
That the hand of the LORD has done this,
In whose hand is the life of every living thing,
And the breath of mankind?"
Job 12:7-10
Think on that for a little while.
