What is your weak place? The place that you have had trials in over and over? What do you constantly fight, constantly have to deal with? Everyone has at least one big one that raises its ugly head every once in a while to bring torment.
Do you have it? Do you know what it is? It shouldn't be too hard to figure it out. Just fill in this blank: "I have struggled with ______ often."
Let's say it is relationships. Let's say it is you being a doormat in your relationships, being the kind of person who doesn't make waves, the kind of person who smiles while inside you are dying.
Finally, you want to break free of this. Finally, you cry out to God and let Him show you how to get past this. You learn to speak up. You learn to gently confront those who have wronged you. You get to a place where you keep your accounts "paid up" in the relationship department. You don't allow negative situations to ruin them or negative reactions to simmer inside you. This is God's and your victory. God can even use you to teach others how to confront rightly and how not to be a doormat and to not be afraid to make waves if necessary.
But if you get to this place, this means you can't go back. Ever. You always have to stay confronting and working through things, having healthy interactions with others. You might get tired and just want to let it be. You might think, oh, I'm just going to ignore that. And before you know it you are back where you were before but it is a whole lot worse because you grew used to being healthy emotionally. Going back will break you emotionally to a point of no return.
Don't go back to the patterns that had you trapped before whatever they might be. Those patterns were rooted in unbelief, fear. And if we grow weary we can easily fall back into them because we are just so tired. Don't do it. Let God have the victory in this area and stay there. Keep believing. Keep seeking.
You might see others can get by doing some of the things you used to. Don't worry about. Don't even give it a thought. Maybe they have no struggles in that area and they can let certain things go unresolved. That isn't your business. You know what you have to do in your life to be where you need to be, in the place of Belief. Stay there. That's what I plan on doing.
