So the other night while driving to Dupree to pick up Megan after a volleyball game I heard Dr. David Jeremiah talk about the three mountains in a Believer's life. The one I want to mention is Mount Moriah. This is the moutain Abraham climbed in obedience to sacrifice his son (click here for the full story). God ends up providing a ram for the offering and Isaac is spared.
Dr. Jeremiah said that we all have an Isaac in our life that must be sacrificed in order to live fully for God. An Isaac is something that is so dear to you that you hold tightly to it not letting it go like everything else in your life. Your Isaac could be a child, a spouse, a dream, a talent, a future. It can be anything. If you ask God if you've been holding onto an Isaac in your life, He'll show you for He doesn't want anything to come between you and him.
If something has come to mind I urge you to let it go. Give it God. Let Him take it. What He does with it will be so much grander than what your efforts or dreams for it can accomplish. Some Isaacs might be dead for a while, but God will indeed resurrect that Isaac for God is the God of the living and He wants you to soar.
