I'm thinking of the fields and hills covered in wildflowers no one ever sees.
I'm thinking of beautiful sunrises and sunsets that go unnoticed by so many.
I'm thinking of the mysterious ocean depths no human has ever experienced.
I'm thinking of the expanse of space that continues to expand and which God fills with beauty only He sees.
God creates and creates and creates for the pure joy of it. He is Creator and He needs no validation or approval from us. When we do notice His hand and creation in things and thank Him that is a bonus and we can delight along with Him and this brings us and Him joy.
Genesis 1:27 says, "And God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them."
This modern society with all its social media encourages us to seek out the approval of others with all we do, as if what we are doing or taking part in isn't quite complete until we get "likes" and acknowledgement from those we know. This isn't healthy. It isn't how God operates. It can give others and the world influence into our actions and thoughts and decisions where they just don't belong. Some things, a lot of things, need to just be between us and God or us and those who are real parts of our lives.
I know I seem to talk about this a lot but it is a major part of my life -- caregiving. I see so much value in learning to be like God in daily life as a caregiver. As school starts and my days go back to being just me and Hawken most of the time, most of my life is only seen by God. If I believe what is pushed by social media my unseen life is not valuable because it isn't being noticed by anyone walking on this earth.
But this isn't true. The unseen parts of our lives are seen by God. The unseen parts of life we live are precious to God and He notices all things. These unseen times reveal who we really are. When we choose to do what we need to do faithfully and daily God is pleased. It is act of worship.
Romans 12:1-2 says, "I urge you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
I don't know what you are dealing with in life, but I do know you live life in unseen places too. I know things you do go unnoticed by others. I know there are times you are misunderstood or judged. I know there are times you wish someone would notice those things you do, those things that tax you physically or emotionally or both. God sees you. He sees your heart. He sees what you do day in and day out. You are being noticed. You are being noticed by God Almighty, the God who loves you so very much.
