At our house we only get PBS channels on our TV (along with Netflix and Amazon Prime). The only TV news I get at home is the PBS newshour. I don't often agree with their bent on things but that's okay. I just try to listen with discernment.
Yesterday morning I watched one of the 24 hour news channels. The topic was interesting but how it was handled made me angry. One of the commentators deliberately twisted words and situations and laid blame where there was no blame.
Why can't people just talk plain and tell the truth without trying to manipulate it? After watching this I realized there is no way I could watch this kind of stuff regularly without getting angry toward groups of people and people I do not even know. My perspective would get all wrong about people and life.
This is what is happening to all sorts of people without them realizing it. They spend time watching these news channels and slowly they are hardened to whole groups of people. They will find themselves cynical about life, about people, even about the power of God.
What are you watching? What are you listening to? How is it changing you? For it will change you (for good or bad).
Be very careful what goes into you through your eyes and ears and mind. It is what you will become.
