And I gotta say there are a lot of good posts in the category section of this page. If you ever have time read some of my past ones. You'll be blessed.
I really wanted to post today but didn't have a thought until I thought of Tim Fall. He's a brother in Christ who has a great blog. At times Tim republishes a post he posted earlier. I think this a great idea. He calls it post rewind (or something like that). I don't know what to call it but I thank you Tim for the idea.
So below you can read a post that I originally wrote and posted June 20, 2011. I think you'll be blessed:
The grain offering is most holy, like the sin offering and the guilt offering. Leviticus 6:17
Several chapters of Leviticus gives details on how to present offerings in the correct manner. God assumed His children would need these instructions because they would eventually sin unintentionally or intentionally or both (and both are dealt with. Both need to be dealt with even today in our lives.).
What I thought was pretty cool is that the sin offering was considered most holy. What was offered wasn't holy until it was offered. This can apply to us spiritually too.
If you turn away from sin, if you choose to not let it in your life anymore, not be a slave to it, and instead present yourselves to God has a living sacrifice, this turning away is a most holy offering. Whatever we truly give to God will be redeemed.
I'm not sure how this works but I don't have to. God does. He can take anything we give Him and redeem it and use it for His kingdom, for healing, for good.
We are never a lost cause. No matter what you've got yourself caught in, God is a way out. Even if you've messed up so bad that all seems lost, all isn't lost in God. He can bring holiness out of it all, beauty where there is now only death.
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
for you were bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20
