Here's the challenge: every day this week (and continue on forever if you feel led) notice a sign from God that tells you He loves you. These kinds of signs are all around us. He's constantly reminding us of His love for us. Here's a sign I noticed today:
I received a new devotional today in the mail to review. The author shares a quote from Dallas Willard which I find to be amazing. Someone asked him what he had to do to be spiritually healthy. Willard replied, "You must ruthlessly eliminate hurry from your life . . . Hurry is the great enemy of spiritual life in our day."
That quote was another sign of God's love for me today.
Our culture is so into being busy that we can feel guilty if we aren't. We can feel unimportant if our days aren't filled with activity. This activity will drown out God's voice if we let it. Busyness will rob us of peace, of revelation, even of relationships.
Look for that sign today (and tomorrow and the rest of the week). God is telling you He loves you. God is telling you He wants to spend time with you. God is telling you you matter to Him.
