But, as I sit in my chair early in the morning drinking my coffee and thinking about the day, a voice in my head tells me I don't really want to go. I'd rather stay home and relax. I'd rather stay home and sit in the sun and just do my thing.
And, this is true. It is the same feeling we get when we are lying on the couch and just don't want to get up to go do something with others.
When we succumb to these feelings, when we listen to that voice that tells us going to church this Sunday isn't convenient because we have other stuff we could be doing; when we cancel because it takes a bit of planning to get to that Bible study we are being played. We are being played by the devil and our flesh. People, this is a form of spiritual warfare and when we buy into it we have lost a battle. We are doing exactly what the devil and our flesh want us to do.
Read what I wrote December 2, 2015:
Boy, he and his crew fight dirty. They are rotten and evil and they don't care.
They see the weakness and they jab right into it.
They will use the ones you love the most.
They will use a speck of truth and blow it up into a huge lie that you are seduced into believing.
They will take a seemingly lovely gathering of friends or family and all of a sudden you start bickering and you don't even know why.
They make it so darn personal so you don't notice it happening.
They are professionals.
They know how to hide behind the known so we stay right here in this realm and forget about the other.
It's spiritual warfare folks and it's real.
This is still true. Do we want to be puppets in the hands of the flesh and the devil? Or do we want to fight the good fight and live the way God intended us to live?
It's our choice.
