My heart is changing though.
We got a great one from Shannon's grandma this weekend. And what makes it special is that she shared some of her fond memories from past Christmas and an encouragement to her readers. Here is what she wrote:
I think the holidays that mean the most are the ones where we helped someone out - -someone who really needed it. We should all thank God as we lift our heads each day! It is all because of him. Jesus is Lord and we should celebrate his life and forgiveness.
The incredible thing about Christmas is that you are given free license to speak about Jesus since it is His birthday. Some may not want to talk about Him, but they cannot deny what Christmas is about. And truly I think everyone knows what it is about even if they get wrapped up in all the festivities and presents and food (and I am so not against any of that -- I love Christmas and I especially love the Christmas hymns).
So, I might write one of those Christmas letters this year. I know it's getting late - -already the 17th. We shall see.
God bless you all. Tell Jesus Happy Birthday.
May He grant you your heart's desire, And fulfill all your counsel!" Psalm 20:4
