Yet, here is the test -- what does it encourage? Does it encourage those involved to get closer to God or does it encourage the flesh? We can't walk in the Spirit and in the flesh. It is one or the other. If we want to live a spiritual life we have to walk by the Spirit. This means not going where your flesh wants to take you. If you know you have a problem with gossip then don't hang out with those people who let you gossip. Make no provision for the flesh (that's a Bible verse, see below).
Think, would Jesus take part in this?
I have some scriptures I want to share. Have a glorious Sunday. Find a great church to be part of and really become part of it. We are "perfected in unity." We each need to learn to function within the Body of Christ, not as solo cowboys.
"But put on the LORD Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh in regard to its lusts." Romans 13:14
"And let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we shall reap if we do not grow weary. So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith." Galatians 6:9-10
"through love serve one another" Galatians 5:13b
