When we use manipulation we are using violence and we are being anti-God. When we force our own way, work the system, scheme, we are using violence and we are doing totally what God has told us not to do.
Resting in God, trusting in Him is a whole different outlook, a different way to live, a way contrary to all that is taught in the world system.
"Those who hopefully wait for Me will not be put to shame." Isaiah 49:23c
The ideal thing is to learn to partner with God. We'll always be the junior partner taking direction from Him, but we can work with Him to see His will carried out in our lives and the world-at-large.
I'm writing this to myself today too. Not that I've been trying to manipulate. I wasn't really born with a manipulative personality, but what I do have to wait for is for God's providence in regard to my own space and silence. I am an introvert. Are you not sure if you are an extrovert or introvert? Here's the simple test: do you gain peace and strength, are you recharged either when you are alone or do you need people to recharge yourself? The first is what introverts need. The second is what extroverts need. It is nothing we can change. Neither is better than the other. It is just how God wired each of us.
Well, this introvert is having trouble finding the silence and aloneness I need to recharge myself during these very person-filled days of summer. So, I am appealing ot my heavenly Father asking Him to give this to me. He knows I need it. When I feel this need it is a good reminder for me to pray throughout the day rather than get frustrated.
