We just have to ask.
He will get us through anything.
We just have to lean into him.
This morning I went outside knowing I had a big job to do. Our horses had gotten out last night but it was too dark to get them back in. I had no idea where they even were. There's a lot of land out here and they could run for miles.
I'd been praying since last night for God's help. I knew I'd need it. I knew Shannon wouldn't have much time to help before school. I was feeling a bit stressed.
I walked out as the sun began to rise in search of the horses. I couldn't find them. And I knew even if I could find them that was no guarantee they'd come when I called. Our horses are pretty docile, but they have their own minds.
Shannon came outside and started his car. I was forking hay for the horses in hopes it would help get them in the pen. Shannon took over. Suddenly, he spotted them. They were in the field south of the pens. Oh, I was praying.
I had two ropes and a treat bag. They often answer when I call their names so I started calling for Smarty. And God be praised! They started running together straight for me. There is something absolutely beautiful about five horses running toward you.
I took off running and they followed me right into the pen. I mean, right into the pen. It was miraculous. And I am so very thankful.
If you're having a hard time with something, ask God for help. He will help. He wants to help. He wants to be part of your life. You were created to live this life without Him. He will give strength and grace and mercy. He is a good, good Father. Oh, God loves us. Let Him love you today. Please.
