Yet, I think some of us Believers are doing just what Hawk did to me with God.
I fear many fellow Believers are not grabbing hold of the hope that is in them to get through situations. If you have a hopeless situation ask God to take over. Invite Him into this situation. Let Him work in it. He will. He won't (almost positive here) work in the way you imagine He will. He will work in a much better and deeper way. God will transform and restoe and bring us to a better place than where we are at.
We can have hope all the time, but we have to ask God to come into the situation. We have to give up the reins of control and let Him have control. It won't work if we say "Help me Lord" and then proceed to ignore what He tells us and do it our way anyway.
Every impossible situation is possible through God. He can do anything, but we tie His hands when we have to stay in control. Letting Him work means waiting on Him expectantly. Trusting. Believing. Even suffering in hope and joy knowing He will come through.
Life isn't hopeless in Jesus Christ. It is full of hope but only if we do it His way. We gotta let Him be in the driver's seat and we slide over to shotgun. We can't say, "Take control, God" and then keep a tight grip on the steering wheel.
