If we could see as angels do we would look at each other with amazement at how loved we are by God, the God of all, the God of impossible things. If we could see as angels do we would see God's Spirit flowing out of each other and be silent by the beauty of it.
If we could see as angels do we'd see the Creator's hand in each of us and we'd be a whole lot more reluctant to take each other for granted or say anything harsh to each other ever again.
If we could see as angels do we'd be amazed at the part we play in God's plan.
If we could see as angels do we'd realize every single moment on this earth is a miracle; that every interaction we have with other people is a divine appointment, a part of God's plan.
Today is my husband's 50th birthday and we are in our 23rd year of marriage. And I am thankful for at times I get to see what angels see when they see my husband. If I read his story it would amaze me where God has taken him (and is taking him).
Each of us has an amazing story -- a journey of unexpected people and places and situations.
Are you where you thought you'd be ten years ago? Are you who you thought you'd be? Have you allowed God to mold you and fill you with His wisdom? If you do, then everything in this life can be used for great good -- even the bad times. And we all have bad times. That is a promise.
Yet, if you give your life to your Creator He can fashion the bad times, even the ones that have long been past, into something that is astonishingly beautiful. I don't know how He does it. And it isn't that you get to a point where you're exactly glad the bad things happen, but you get to a point where you can be thankful that God redeemed those bad times and got you through them and changed you into a better person because of them.
This world is passing away. This world is temporary. One day God will tear through the pretty wrapping paper and we will see true life, the unseen realm that is bigger and brighter and fuller than this temporary place could be ever be. Life is too big to be enclosed in time.
And that life is within us when we let Jesus Christ in. He promises abundant life. Grab hold of it. Grab hold of Him. Let that Abundance spill out from the unseen into the seen realm through you.
